LYL OF SEPSEQUEL, born 9 February 1967 bred by J. H. Jacobs of Caughnawaga, Québec, was one of the Second Foundation Seppalas of the MARKOVO rescue period. She was an exceptionally fine female, light silver saddleback in colour, a type which still recurs strongly in Seppala lines today. Her pedigree is 7/16 FOXSTAND lineage. LYL was not quite pure Seppala lineage due to residual out-lines in the Gatineau foundation, but her known Seppala ancestry amounted to 98.82% of her pedigree. The resulting progeny (SURGUT OF MARKOVO, NUTOK OF MARKOVO and others) more than justified her use in the rescue programme and gave testimony to the powerful influence of her strong FOXSTAND background.
