MIKIUK TUKTU TORNYAK was born 6 July 1963 by Thomas and Edith Simms. Privately owned by E. Rule Olson MD and Donna L. Olson, despite his unusual and striking Seppala appearance and his long coat he was shown to his American bench championship. Tuktu was blue eyed, red and white with a black saddle. Used at stud by both J. Jeffrey Bragg and Gary Egelston, Tuktu was crucial to the survival of Seppala lineage in the 1970s Markovo rescue period. The pedigree illustrates well the use by the Bryars of a succession of fine McFaul males, starting with the breeding of FOX OF SEPPALA to the white bitch FOXSTAND'S RUMBA, to create a strong McFaul/Shearer bloodline.
