"NICKO 2nd's" pedigree is an adequate demonstration of how far from a "Seppala" bloodline Dr. Harold Frendt's Little Alaska really was. This male ran lead on New England racer John Piscopo's team at one time. Notice the inbreeding on NICKO OF GATINEAU in this pedigree. I owned a daughter of NICKO 2ND OF LITTLE ALASKA in the early 1970s, CHEENAH'S THRUSH, bred by New England racer Steve J. Tassey (Shelburne, NH). Thrush was a mild-mannered pure white bitch with blue eyes, a very nice racing Siberian but not was distinctively Seppala though she was vaguely Seppala-ish.
