SEPPALTA'S ROSIE, born December 2003, is a current Willett lead dog. Her pedigree contains only the KODIAK'S LILY and KODIAK'S LAYLA cross-strainings, plus whatever else may be part of the ELVIRA line. Her sire, RACE OF SEPP-ALTA, billed by DW as the "best 21st century Seppala stud," is pure Markovo-Seppala. It is further stated that "Race typifies in attitude, ability, personality and type the Seppala Siberian Sleddog." Despite his ceaseless experimentation with RSH strain-crosses and his widespread diffusion of them to his "satellites," for his own use Willett has always preferred the Markovo Seppalas or very high-Markovo-percentage stock.
