(PURE SEPPALA dogs in this pedigree are indicated by purple-coloured type and capital letters.)

The pedigree of Ch. Bonzo of Anadyr CD demonstrates the strong Wheeler influence behind mainstream Siberian Husky bloodlines that had nothing directly to do with the Wheeler kennel. Some 16 different dogs bred or owned by Wheeler are revealed in this five-generation pedigree. (TONY OF FOXSTAND was an unregistered Wheeler dog sent back to Belfords as part of the NANNA purchase agreement and re-sold to Shearer.) All of the major mainstream Siberian Husky strains share the Wheeler influence to a greater or lesser extent, often through Seeley, Monadnock, or Cold River breeding. But that does not make Seppala bloodlines of those strains, in the way that the pure-strain descendants of the McFaul and Shearer kennels are considered to be pure Seppala. The basic Wheeler contribution has been altered by too many generations of breeding for dog-shows or "dual purpose" ideals for the two to be comparable.
