DITKO OF SEPPALA, male, born 10 February 1959, was hand-picked by Elizabeth Ricker as representative of the kind of Siberians she and Leonhard Seppala had in the Poland Spring days. This friendly, brownish-grey McFaul dog became the inspiration of the MARKOVO rescue programme that saved Seppala lineage from extinction in the 1970s. DITKO was typical of the best of the McFaul stock, moderate in structure, full-coated, mentally stable. He is still sorely missed by his final owner J. Jeffrey Bragg.
